ABOUT ME

Hey — I’m Claire. I’m a writer and creative, shaped by sports culture, music history, and a deep love for the outdoors. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, refined at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and now living and working in Lake Tahoe, I’ve spent my life around communities driven by passion and connection.

Growing up in the Bay Area, sports were a constant — from weekends at various tournaments to celebrating Warriors championships and Giants World Series runs. If the TV was ever on in my house, you could be sure that a game was on… any game. At the same time, I was immersed in the region’s rich artistic culture, developing an early appreciation and curiosity for the energy, history, and community that defined it. So much of who I am came from where I grew up, and I have so much gratitude for the impact the local art and culture had on my life.

I moved to the Midwest to study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and during my time in undergrad I found my love for writing and my voice in storytelling. I wrote for The Daily Cardinal, hosted radio shows on WSUM, immersed myself in campus sports, and embraced Madison’s DIY music scene (even helping turn my house into a venue for college bands by senior year). I found a second home in Madison in both the people and the place, and it became a place where I was able to grow as a person as well as a writer. A semester abroad living in Barcelona broadened my perspective even further on culture, creativity and global storytelling.

Now living in Lake Tahoe, spending time outside in nature has become even more central to who I am, not only grounding me but filling my day to day life with excitement. Working at a ski resort and exploring the mountains, lakes, and trails with friends has deepened my appreciation for adventure, connection, and the simple joys of shared experiences. Whether in a sold out stadium, an intimate venue, or a powder day on the mountain, I’m drawn to environments where people come together, and I’m motivated to tell the stories that grow from those moments.

With my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Sports Communications from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I continue to seek opportunities to pursue storytelling, creative cultivation, and multimedia, while aiming to inspire others with my work. I am always looking to capture the energy and connection that make life feel vibrant.
